K56300 Maleic & Phthalic Anhydride Purity Bath |
Test Method Molten samples of maleic or phthalic anhydride are compared with Platinum-Cobalt color standards for determining sample purity and the qualitative stability in the presence of contaminants. High color content normally indicates contamination. Features and Benefits Conforms to ASTM D3366 specifications Redundant over-temperature protection circuitry |
K56300 Maleic & Phthalic Anhydride Purity Bath Electrically heated aluminum block features a microprocessor-based temperature controller with over- temperature protection circuitry and a dual LED temperature display. The heating unit provides temperature stability, heating rates, and minimal temperature gradients which exceed ASTM specifications, and is housed in an insulated steel cabinet with a chemically-resistant painted finish. Up to six samples can be tested at a time using Nessler tubes. Visual color comparisons are made against solutions of Platinum-Cobalt color standards or measured with a K13250 Portable Automatic Colorimeter or a K13500 Automatic Colorimeter.
